1/20/2016 – Sparks, NV – By PJ Losey
Davidson Racing has won many NASA Super Unlimited seasons unfortunately last year was not one of them due to our driving team being registered wrong at the beginning of the season. This mistake was one that cost us the championship in 2015. 2016 will be different.
This year in 2016 our goal once again is to compete in the National Auto Sport Associations Super Unlimited class with our driver team consisting of Team Owner – Bob Davidson and Roger Kraus Racings – Brandon Kraus. They will be piloting the 17 Davidson Racing BMW Norma for 6 Super Unlimited races and a National Championship Race. (See the full schedule at
https://davidsonracing.teamapp.com/events)The BMW Norma is powered by an Integrity Engines BMW Power plant pushing over 400hp at only 1600lbs making this one of the fastest cars on the track and proving its self in many events including winning the overall 25 Hour in 2014. Setting a 1:20.xxx lap time around Laguna Seca, A sub 1:30 Lap time around Sonoma and a Sub 1:35 lap time around Thunderhill. With the good comes the bad though, The car has seen fire, mechanical failures, and electronic failures.
The first race of the season is always interesting with the car being completely rebuilt after the 2015 25 Hour of Thunderhill. Davidson Racing has lightened up the car, improved many parts and added a little more horsepower. Brandon Kraus will be behind the wheel for this event and will set the mood for the rest of the season. Davidson Racing is out to prove themselves this year and bring home the 2016 SU Championship. Be sure to come support the team and/or watch live timing for the first races March 19/20th at Sonoma Raceway.
Davidson Racing is owned by Bob Davidson and Co-Ran by Ron Baker and PJ Losey with year around support by Paula Baker and Doug Whitley. For more details and information on the team and their season follow them at
